Duties:

Conducts extensive research of non-profit foundations, corporate sponsors, government programs, and individual donors to collect data and identify viable funding opportunities via online website listings, grants databases, funding clearinghouses, directories, etc. Identifies and develops a database roster on grantor entities and agencies whose funding missions match state funding needs. Conducts research on submitted proposals for merit and viability of securing external grants and loans. Assists with grant management where needed to maintain awards. Advises NGOs and CBOs on project planning and organizational grant readiness. Maintains Yap Government SAM profiles and other US Federal and required grants mechanisms. Prepares and submit grant applications and/or formal proposals according to grantor guidelines for solicitations of external grants and loans. Solicits and provide assistance when and whenever necessary to secure external grant funds and loans through scheduled grants hearings, written or oral testimonies, etc. Conducts or assists with grant proposal writing and management training and workshops. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of OPB.

Qualifications:

Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree or higher in English or related field. Certified Grant Writer with American Association of Grant Writers (AGWA), GPC certification with the Grant Professional's Association, or equivalent with extensive training in proposal writing and grant management. Five (5) years of professional work experience in grant proposal writing with a proven track record of at least ten (10) successful grant awards from both US Federal and non-federal sources. Familiar with DUNS, SAM, Federal Services Desk and grants. gov. Must have strong research, writing and project planning skills. Experience with non-profits, governmental operations, and public finance is also preferred.

Salary:

$15,000.00 to $20,000.00 P/A Based on Qualifications
